Fawkes & Reece are working with a reputable housebuilder to recruit an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a fast-paced 180-unit traditional build residential development in Congleton on a long-term basis.

You will be working as a vital part of a busy site management team, assisting with the day-to-day delivery of high-quality traditional build houses. You will be responsible for monitoring multiple plots daily and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with demanding programme targets and quality standards.

This is a great opportunity to join an established management team on a large-scale development where keeping multiple plots progressing and staying ahead of programme will be key. Previous experience working on traditional build housing developments is essential to perform well within this role.

Main Duties will consist of:

Assisting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development, monitoring multiple plots and ensuring works remain on programme in a fast-paced site environment.

Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and site operatives, ensuring labour, materials and plant are available when required. You will need to identify potential delays quickly and work with the site team to keep the development moving.

Carrying out regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality and health and safety, ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and required standards. Keeping on top of the various stages of construction across multiple plots, from groundworks through to finishing, while maintaining programme and quality expectations.

Completing relevant site paperwork, inspections and reports and assisting with snagging and general site management duties as required.

The successful candidate will require a strong background in traditional build housing and be comfortable working in a busy, fast-moving environment. You must be organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities while working to tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • CSCS
  • SSSTS
  • First Aid (ideal but not essential)
  • MUST have previous experience working on traditional build housing developments that we can reference
