We’re working with a well-established, highly regarded housebuilder who is looking to appoint an Assistant Site Manager to join their team in the Telford area.

The Opportunity
As Assistant Site Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the development, helping to ensure homes are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
You’ll be involved in coordinating subcontractors and site activities, monitoring progress against programme, maintaining high standards of health and safety, and ensuring the development remains on track from a build, quality and commercial perspective.
You’ll also work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to keep communication flowing and ensure any issues are dealt with promptly.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager with the overall management and coordination of the development.
- Monitor construction progress to ensure plots are delivered in line with agreed programmes and specifications.
- Ensure all works meet required quality standards and relevant building regulations.
- Maintain a strong focus on health, safety and environmental compliance across the site.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and the wider site workforce.
- Check materials are ordered, delivered and stored appropriately to support the build programme.
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including inductions, inspections, records and reports.
- Liaise with warranty providers, local authorities, utility companies and other external parties when required.
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Customer Care and other departments to ensure smooth delivery of the development.
- Identify and address issues affecting programme, quality or safety at the earliest opportunity.
- Help create a well-organised, professional and positive site environment.
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone with previous experience within residential housebuilding, who is ready to take the next step in their career or continue developing within an Assistant Site Manager position.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience working within the housebuilding sector.
- A good understanding of NHBC, LABC or Premier standards.
- Strong knowledge of construction health, safety and environmental requirements.
- A valid CSCS card.
- SMSTS qualification is preferred.
- A full UK driving licence.
- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Construction Site Supervision would be advantageous, although development and training can be provided
