Assistant Site Manager (New Build Housing)

RG Setsquare are currently recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to join a new-build housing project in Plymstock, with an immediate start available.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join an established contractor and play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of a residential construction project.

• Assist the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of the site.
• Supervise subcontractors and site operatives, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to the required standards.
• Monitor progress against the construction programme and report any issues or delays.
• Carry out regular site inspections and ensure health & safety requirements are maintained.
• Coordinate trades and subcontractors on site.
• Check workmanship against drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Assist with site inductions, toolbox talks and site documentation.
• Monitor materials, deliveries and site logistics.
• Liaise with the Site Manager, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised site.
• Support with snagging, quality control and handover activities.

• SMSTS or SSSTS
• First Aid
• Previous experience working as an Assistant Site Manager.
• Experience within new-build residential/housing projects is preferred.
• Strong understanding of site health & safety, quality and programme requirements.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
