Our client, a well-established and highly respected residential developer, is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a large-scale housing development in Felixstowe. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced site management team, delivering high-quality homes while developing your career within a growing business.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of the development, ensuring homes are built safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the management of subcontractors on site.
  • Monitoring health and safety compliance across the development.
  • Supporting the build programme and ensuring works are progressing to schedule.
  • Conducting quality inspections and snagging checks.
  • Assisting with NHBC inspections and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinating materials, labour and site logistics.
  • Ensuring company standards and procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Supporting customer satisfaction initiatives and delivering an excellent home-buying experience.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Foreman, or Site Supervisor within residential housebuilding.
  • Experience working on volume housing developments.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple trades and workloads effectively.
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to quality and customer service.

Essential Qualifications

  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work
  • Full UK Driving Licence
