Are you an ambitious Assistant Site Manager looking to take the next step in your house building career

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading PLC House Builder for an exciting opportunity on a flagship 280-unit residential development in Heybridge, Essex. This is a fantastic chance to join an established business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality homes and excellent career progression opportunities.

The Role

Working alongside the Senior Site Manager and Project Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of this large-scale development, ensuring homes are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the management of all on-site operations
• Coordinating subcontractors and trades on a daily basis
• Monitoring build programmes and maintaining site progress
• Managing health and safety across the development
• Conducting quality inspections and snagging
• Ensuring NHBC standards are achieved throughout construction
• Supporting customer care during handover stages
• Maintaining site records and reporting progress to senior management

About You

We are looking for someone with proven house building experience who is eager to progress their career with a respected developer.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within volume house building
• Strong knowledge of traditional build construction methods
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to drive production whilst maintaining quality standards
• Good understanding of NHBC requirements
• Positive, proactive attitude and strong leadership potential

Essential Qualifications

• SMSTS or SSSTS
• CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work
• Full UK Driving Licence
