Salary: £60,000 - £80,000

They are on the lookout for an Associate to Director level candidate to lead their Town Planning team in their Leeds offices.

Duties for the role include:
- Managing a varied caseload of planning projects from inception through to determination
- Providing commercially focused planning advice to clients
- Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, representations and other planning documentation
- Undertaking planning appraisals and assessing development opportunities
- Advising clients on planning policy, development management and relevant legislative requirements
- Liaising with local planning authorities, statutory consultees and other stakeholders
- Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and external consultants
- Attending meetings with clients, planning officers and other stakeholders
Requirements for the role include:
- A degree and/or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, developer or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and development management.
- Experience preparing and submitting planning applications and associated documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to understand clients' objectives.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- The confidence to build effective relationships with clients, local authorities and consultants.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
