I'm currently working with a well-established and highly respected property consultancy looking to strengthen its North London team with the appointment of an Associate Building Surveyor.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and growing team delivering a broad range of Building Surveying services for long standing public sector clients across North London and Hertfordshire.
The team works across a diverse portfolio including education, public housing, healthcare, and leisure projects, providing plenty of variety. Project values range from £200k - £7million.
The Role
As an Associate Building Surveyor, you'll play a key role in managing client relationships, delivering projects, and supporting the continued growth of the team.
You'll work closely with local authorities and public sector stakeholders, taking responsibility for project delivery from inception through to completion.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Contract Administration across a range of refurbishment and improvement schemes
- Delivering Employer's Agent services
- Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
- Preparing specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation
- Undertaking site inspections and project monitoring
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Identifying opportunities to grow existing client accounts and develop new business
About You
I am keen to speak with client facing Building Surveyors who can combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills.
- MRICS or MCIOB qualification
- Significant experience within consultancy Building Surveying
- Strong Contract Administration experience
- Proven Employer's Agent experience
- Experience delivering projects within the public sector
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
