Role: Associate Data Analyst
6 Month Contract
Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week
Salary: £30,000 + (DOE)
We're are looking to recruit a proactive and analytical Data Analyst, this role is a 6 month contract.
This is a varied role where you will assist with analytical tasks involving external data and support the maintenance and development of Power BI reports. You will work closely with the Brand, Sales and BI teams, helping to collect, process and analyse data that supports business performance and day-to-day decision-making.
Duties of a Data Analyst:
- Collect market and sell-through data from a range of portals, emails and external sources on a weekly basis.
- Transform and process data before adding it to existing data repositories.
- Update and maintain the current Sell-Through and Golf Datatech Power BI reports.
- Ensure reports remain accurate, valid and error-free.
- Design, code, process and analyse consumer surveys.
- Produce reports and present survey findings and insights.
- Collect and process quarterly data from a range of sources.
- Support the Brand and Sales teams with ad-hoc data analysis requests.
- Create bespoke Power BI reports and Excel spreadsheets to support daily business operations.
- Assist the BI team with preparations for SAP implementation.
- Support the mapping of AS400 data and the design of data tables within Microsoft Fabric.
- Help improve the current customer segmentation model using both internal and external data.
- Share knowledge and experience of data analysis and visualisation techniques with colleagues across the Brand and Sales teams.
What we would like from you:
- Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience.
- Some experience of survey analysis, market data, sales data or performance metrics.
- Previous experience within an Insights, Business Analyst, Business Intelligence or similar analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using Power BI or equivalent data visualisation and analytical platforms.
- Experience using survey platforms and databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate data and insights clearly to a range of stakeholders.
- A proactive approach and willingness to support multiple teams and projects.
- Knowledge of Python.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Knowledge of DAX.
- Experience working with sales or market data.
- Experience with data visualisation and reporting.
- Experience supporting commercial, brand or sales teams.
