An established independent commercial property consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Associate Director or Director within Commercial Agency as part of its continued growth.
The business has a strong presence across Hertfordshire and the wider Northern Home Counties, advising landlords, developers, investors and occupiers across the commercial property market.
This is a senior, client-facing appointment for somebody who is already well known within the regional property market, has strong relationships and can play an active role in developing the agency business.
The successful candidate will work across commercial property sales, lettings and acquisitions, with exposure to industrial, logistics, office and other commercial sectors.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing and developing agency instructions while helping to grow the firm's presence within the market.
Responsibilities will include:
- Winning new commercial agency instructions
- Managing sales and lettings of commercial property
- Advising landlords, developers, investors and occupiers
- Undertaking market appraisals
- Negotiating heads of terms
- Handling disposals and acquisitions
- Developing existing client relationships
- Generating new business through your professional network
- Maintaining strong relationships with landlords, developers and local property professionals
- Working alongside the wider property consultancy team
- Helping shape the future growth of the Commercial Agency department
The Candidate
This appointment will suit an established commercial property professional currently operating around Associate Director or Director level, although a strong individual looking to make their first move into Associate Director would also be considered.
You are likely to have:
- Strong commercial property agency experience
- An established reputation within the market
- A good network of landlords, developers, investors and occupiers
- A track record of winning and managing instructions
- Strong knowledge of the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, North London or wider Home Counties market
- Experience across industrial, logistics, office or mixed commercial agency
- Strong business development and client relationship skills
- MRICS qualification would be advantageous
Most importantly, they are looking for someone who is known within the market and capable of generating relationships and opportunities, rather than somebody purely focused on servicing existing instructions.
Package
£65,000 - £80,000 basic salary
£5,000 car allowance
10-15% commission / performance-related earnings
