Rapid Resource Limited

Location: Rotherham – Nationwide Travel
Contract: Rolling 3-Month Contract
Rate: £150 per 8-hour shift

On behalf of our client, Rapid Resource are looking for a reliable and practically minded ATM Delivery Driver / Installation Support Technician to join an existing team.

This is a varied, hands-on role involving the delivery of ATMs to customer sites across the UK, together with assisting the installation team and carrying out basic site preparation and finishing work where required.

This role requires considerable flexibility with working hours and travel. Candidates must be comfortable undertaking physical work and regularly using hand and power tools.

About the Role

Your base will be the clients Warehouse in Rotherham, from where you will travel to customer locations throughout the UK to assist with ATM deliveries and installations.

Depending on the site, you may be required to carry out preparation work before the ATM can be installed. This could include measuring and setting out the installation area, basic joinery or multi-trade work and preparing the location ready for the installation team.

Once the ATM has been installed, you may also assist with finishing works to ensure the customer area is left clean, tidy and to a high standard.

The role is predominantly driving, delivery and installation support, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable travelling long distances but is equally willing to get involved and assist the team when required.

Working hours will vary according to customer requirements and may include early starts, out-of-hours work, evenings and weekends. There will also be occasions when overnight stays are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive company vehicles to customer sites throughout the UK.
  • Safely transport and assist with the delivery of ATMs and associated equipment.
  • Work alongside the ATM installation team on site.
  • Assist with positioning and installation activities where required.
  • Measure, set out and prepare areas prior to ATM installation.
  • Undertake basic joinery and general multi-trade tasks.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and confidently.
  • Carry out minor finishing and making-good works following installation.
  • Ensure the work area is left clean, safe and to a professional standard.
  • Complete tablet-based audit documentation and proof of delivery where required.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure installations are completed safely and within agreed timescales.

Previous ATM experience is therefore advantageous but not essential for candidates who have the right driving experience, practical skills and attitude.

What We're Looking For

Candidates should have:

  • A full clean UK driving license. DR10 convictions cannot be accepted.
  • Confidence driving long distances throughout the UK.
  • Good knowledge of the UK road network.
  • Experience in a practical, hands-on role.
  • Experience using a range of hand and power tools.
  • Basic joinery, maintenance, installation or multi-trade skills.
  • The ability to measure and prepare areas accurately for installation work.
  • A willingness to undertake physical work and assist the installation team.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • A reliable approach with strong timekeeping.
  • The ability to work to deadlines and remain professional when working under pressure.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours, including early starts, evenings and occasional weekends.
  • Willingness to stay away from home overnight when required.

Experience using Microsoft Office, tablets, electronic audit documentation or proof-of-delivery systems would be beneficial.

Previous experience within ATM delivery, field service, equipment installation, logistics, engineering, shopfitting or a similar environment would also be advantageous.

Physical Requirements

Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be comfortable with:

  • Frequent and sometimes prolonged driving.
  • Carrying tools, equipment and parts weighing approximately 1–20kg.
  • Regular walking, standing, sitting, bending and squatting.
  • Reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting and occasional climbing.
  • Working in confined or unusual positions when assisting with installations.
  • Working in busy customer environments while maintaining a professional approach.

Pre-Employment Screening

Successful candidates will be required to complete pre-employment screening before commencing work.

An offer of work will be subject to satisfactory completion of all required screening and compliance checks.
