Audio Visual Event Technician

As an Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of AV equipment, helping to ensure events are delivered smoothly and to a high professional standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and operating AV equipment for live, hybrid and virtual conferences and events.
  • Operating camera, video and IT equipment.
  • Supporting live streaming and virtual event productions.
  • Working with Blackmagic ATEM systems.
  • Editing and delivering video footage to a high standard, preferably using DaVinci Resolve.
  • Liaising with clients, colleagues and event crews before and during events.
  • Preparing, testing and maintaining AV equipment.
  • Driving company vehicles to event locations.

We are looking for an experienced AV professional with a background in the corporate live events sector.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience working in live corporate events.
  • Strong camera, video and IT skills.
  • Experience with live streaming and ideally Blackmagic ATEM.
  • Experience with video editing software, preferably DaVinci Resolve.
  • Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint, Keynote, Zoom, Microsoft Teams and similar platforms.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • The ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
  • A professional appearance and manner.
  • A flexible, positive and can-do attitude.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Applicants must be based locally to the Manchester area.



Working Hours

The standard working pattern is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm.

Due to the nature of the live events industry, flexibility is essential. Some evening, early morning and weekend work will be required depending on the event schedule.
