TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a respected and growing accountancy practice in Camberley that is looking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Senior to join its successful team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA student approaching qualification, or a recently qualified accountant, looking to develop their career across both accounts and audit within a supportive and ambitious firm.

The practice offers excellent exposure to a broad range of clients and a genuine progression pathway, with future opportunities to manage your own portfolio and move into management positions.

As an Accounts & Audit Senior, you will work closely with Managers and Partners to deliver high quality accounts and audit services to a varied client portfolio.

The role will provide a good balance of statutory accounts preparation, audit work and client interaction, whilst giving you the opportunity to develop your technical skills and take on increasing responsibility.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
  
• Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
  
• Preparing and reviewing audit files and supporting documentation
  
• Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
  
• Working closely with Managers to deliver accounts and audits efficiently and effectively
  
• Supervising and supporting trainees and junior team members
  
• Reviewing the work of junior members of the team and providing constructive feedback
  
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and gather information
  
• Developing strong client relationships through regular communication
  
• Identifying accounting and audit issues and ensuring compliance with relevant standards
  
• Assisting with the preparation and review of financial statements
  
• Supporting Managers with portfolio administration and workflow management
  
• Providing support across a range of accounting and tax assignments as required
  
• Developing the skills and experience required to manage your own portfolio in the future
  

The successful candidate will likely have:

• ACA or ACCA nearly qualified or recently qualified
  
• Strong accounts and audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice
  
• Experience preparing statutory accounts and working on audit assignments
  
• Experience supervising or reviewing the work of junior staff
  
• Good technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
  
• Good understanding of corporation tax
  
• Excellent communication and client facing skills
  
• Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
  
• A proactive attitude and desire to develop across both accounts and audit
  
• Ambition to progress into management and portfolio responsibility over time
