The Role
As an Audit Associate, you'll work closely with Managers and Partners across a diverse range of audit assignments, supporting clients from a variety of sectors. You'll be trusted with increasing responsibility as your experience develops, giving you exposure to every stage of the audit process while building strong, long term client relationships.
You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of smaller assignments while supporting on larger and more complex audits, allowing you to continually develop your technical and commercial skills.
Your Responsibilities
- Assisting with the planning, delivery and completion of audit assignments
- Carrying out substantive and analytical audit testing both remotely and at client sites
- Preparing audit files with clear and accurate supporting documentation
- Producing statutory financial statements from client records
- Identifying risks and raising key findings with Managers and Partners
- Building positive relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact
- Supporting and coaching more junior members of the team where appropriate
- Getting involved in networking and business development opportunities within the local market
About You
You'll already have experience working within a UK accountancy practice and be looking for a role that offers genuine progression and variety.
You'll ideally have:
- At least two years' audit experience within UK practice
- Experience working with clients across a range of industries
- ACA or ACCA part qualified, or qualified through experience
- A good understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS and auditing standards
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to build client relationships
- A proactive approach and the desire to continue developing your career
