Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist Autism (ASC) school that is part of a well-established Multi Academy Trust. We are looking for a dedicated Autism Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of autism diagnoses and associated learning needs.
This is a full-time role where you will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to help create a positive, structured and engaging learning environment. The school is seeking someone who is patient, proactive and passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.
The Role
- Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) both in and out of the classroom.
- Assist with delivering personalised learning and intervention activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and support emotional regulation.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with Autism and/or additional needs.
- A calm, resilient and adaptable approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for working within specialist education.
- Full-time availability.
Pay Information
The daily rate for this role ranges from £95-£120 per day.
To be considered for the higher end of the pay scale:
- Previous relevant SEND/ASC experience is essential.
- Full-time availability is required.
- Final pay rate will also be dependent on the school's allocated budget and your level of experience.
