Shifts: 12-Hour Shifts | 7 Days Per Week Available
Pay Rate: £18.00 - £23.00 per hour (plus enhanced weekend overtime rates)
IR35 Status: Strictly Outside IR35

The Opportunity

KAP Technical is partnering with a leading provider of managed services to some of the world's most prestigious automotive OEMs. Due to continued growth and major vehicle programme launches, we are seeking skilled Auto Electricians and BEV Senior Authorised Personnel (SAP) Technicians to join expanding specialist teams across the UK.

This role focuses on vehicle rectification, diagnostics, fault finding, and electrical repairs on advanced vehicle platforms.

What We're Looking For

We are recruiting across two specialist pathways depending on your current qualifications and experience.

1. BEV / SAP Vehicle Electricians

Rate: Up to £23.00 per hour

Requirements:

  • IMI EV Level 3 or Level 4 qualification.
  • Proven hands-on experience working on Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs).
  • Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding skills with the ability to identify, investigate, and report complex vehicle electrical issues.
  • Strong understanding of complete BEV systems, not just battery pack components.
  • Experience working within OEM, vehicle manufacturing, engineering, or automotive quality environments is advantageous.

2. Auto Electricians – EV Upskilling Programme

Rate: Up to £20.00 per hour

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as an Auto Electrician.
  • Existing EV qualifications and a desire to progress into full BEV vehicle systems.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and vehicle rectification experience.
