Minimum Qualifications
A relevant professional qualification in one of the following areas is preferred, although not mandatory:
- Robotics;
- Automation;
- Mechatronics;
- Electronics;
- Mechanical Engineering;
- Industrial Maintenance.
Required Professional Experience and Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience;
- Preferably Experience working with automated systems, preferably Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs);
- Good knowledge of electromechanical equipment and industrial automation systems;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook;
- Fluent spoken and written English;
- Ability to read and understand technical instructions and documentation;
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team;
- Availability to work on-site in Dagenham, London.
Main Responsibilities
- Carrying out the electromechanical assembly, installation, testing and troubleshooting of AGVs and associated automation equipment;
- Performing technical tests based on the available instructions and documentation;
- Identifying, analysing and reporting technical, performance and quality issues;
- Supporting the diagnosis and resolution of faults affecting AGVs and related systems;
- Reporting technical issues and cooperating with team leaders, clients, contractors and other stakeholders;
- Determining the resources, tools and materials required to resolve technical issues;
- Tracking, handling and correctly storing materials, tools and equipment intended for installation;
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area;
- Providing technical guidance and coordinating the activities of less experienced team members, when required;
- Complying with all Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures for the client and the main contractor;
- Contributing to the safety of all team members, contractors and site visitors.
