Automative technician

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Mobile Vehicle Air Conditioning Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will travel to customers at their homes, workplaces, or other locations to carry out vehicle air conditioning checks, refrigerant top-ups, servicing, and basic diagnostics.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that requires someone who can work independently, provide excellent customer service, and complete jobs efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to carry out mobile vehicle AC services.
• Carry out vehicle air conditioning refrigerant top-ups/recharges.
• Inspect AC systems and identify basic faults or leaks.
• Recover, vacuum and recharge AC systems using appropriate equipment.
• Carry out basic AC diagnostics and advise customers of any issues found.
• Check system pressures and overall AC performance.
• Maintain accurate job records and report work completed.
• Explain any additional repairs or recommendations clearly to customers.
• Keep the mobile van, tools and AC equipment clean, organised and in good working condition.
• Follow all relevant health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Provide a professional and friendly service at every customer appointment.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with vehicle air conditioning systems.
• Practical automotive/mechanical experience.
• Experience using AC recovery and recharge equipment.
• Good understanding of vehicle AC systems and refrigerants.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, reliable and punctual.
• Comfortable working outdoors and travelling between customer locations
