Automotive Quality Engineer
Phoenix Tavinor Engineering Ltd is seeking a disciplined and detail-oriented Automotive Quality Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the product integrity and ensuring our manufacturing processes remain compliant with industry-standard certifications.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership in quality planning, supplier management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Quality Planning: Lead and manage the APQP and PPAP processes to ensure flawless product launches and changes.
- Compliance: Maintain and audit the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with IATF 16949.
- Corrective Action: Facilitate Root Cause Analysis using 8D methodology, 5 Whys, and Fishbone diagrams to resolve internal and external non-conformities.
- Process Control: Monitor manufacturing performance.
- Risk Management: Develop and maintain PFMEAs and Control Plans to proactively identify and mitigate manufacturing risks.
- Supplier Quality: Collaborate with the supply chain to conduct audits and ensure incoming components meet technical specifications.
Candidate Qualifications
- Education: Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of quality engineering experience within the automotive Tier 1 or OEM sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in the Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC).
- Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
- Communication: Ability to produce clear technical reports and communicate effectively with both production staff and senior management.
