AutoStore Team Leader, Aston - £30k
The AutoStore Team Leader is responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the AutoStore system, ensuring the safe, efficient and accurate flow of stock and customer orders. The role focuses on achieving operational KPIs, delivering excellent customer service through on-time and accurate order fulfilmentand driving continuous improvement across all AutoStore processes.
The Team Leader will lead by example, coach and develop the team, proactively solve operational issues and act as the first point of contact for all AutoStore-related activities.
The Role of AutoStore Team Leader
Operational Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and develop the AutoStoreteam to consistently achieve business objectives and performance targets.
- Lead by example by demonstrating high standards of performance, professionalism, and accountability.
- Ensure all customer orders are picked, packed, and shipped on time, in full, and accurately.
- Manage the daily flow of work across picking,induction, replenishment, and dispatch activities.
- Ensure sufficient stock is inducted into AutoStoreto meet same-day customer demand and prevent stock shortages.
- Monitor workload throughout the day and allocate resources to maximise productivity and service levels.
- Become the operational expert and first point of contact for all AutoStoreactivities, including dispatching, picking, stock induction, and system-related queries.
Performance Management
- Monitor and report daily operational KPIs including productivity, accuracy, throughput, stock availability, and service levels.
- Analyse performance trends and implement actions to improve operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify process gaps and implement corrective actions to eliminate waste and improve workflow.
Team Management
- Manage attendance, absence, holidays, and return-to-work discussions.
- Conduct regular performance conversations and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure all team members follow company procedures and operational standards.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.

The Person:
Essential
Experience working with AutoStore or automated warehouse systems.
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics leadership role.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and order fulfilment.
Experience leading and motivating operational teams.
Excellent organisational and planning skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines.
Competent using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
Desirable
Continuous Improvement experience (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma or similar).
Experience with KPI reporting and operational performance analysis.
Health & Safety awareness within a warehouse environment.
