Avionics Team Leader

You will take ownership of the design and integration of advanced flight deck systems for the next generation of civil aerospace mobility. This role provides the scope to lead a technical team through full-lifecycle certification while directly shaping future aviation safety standards.
Essential requirements
- Five or more years of practical experience designing and developing avionics or lighting systems
- Proven experience working in accordance with ARP4754 development processes
- Capability to work onsite full time in Japan
The work
- Leading the design, development and integration of avionics systems for an innovative aerospace platform
- Managing technical discussions with global suppliers to ensure products meet all engineering requirements
- Developing and reviewing system architecture, electrical wiring diagrams and installation drawings
- Supporting the creation of avionics and lighting certification plans alongside key project stakeholders
- Performing detailed data analysis to identify and resolve any requirement deviations
Your profile
- Technical background in indicating and recording displays, internal and external lights or navigation systems
- Familiarity with aviation industry standards such as DO-178C and DO-254
- Hands-on experience with systems integration and testing procedures
- Project management capabilities and experience leading engineering teams
- Exposure to user interface development within multi-display environments
- Knowledge or interest in electric vertical take-off and landing engineering projects
Where you will work
This position is based onsite at the facility in Nagoya, Japan.
