Azure Platform Engineering Lead SC Cleared in London

Hays are now looking for an SC Cleared Azure Platform Engineering Lead for one of our government clients:

• £600 p/d Inside IR35
• Remote Working
• Candidates must have experience with Azure Databricks
• Current SC Clearance essential

Experienced hands-on Azure Platform Engineering Lead to lead an Agile engineering team delivering secure, scalable Azure infrastructure. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on platform engineering, sprint planning, quality assurance, HLD/LLD implementation and governance.

Essential skills

• Strong Microsoft Azure platform engineering
• Azure Databricks
• Azure Functions
• Terraform Infrastructure as Code
• Azure DevOps Pipelines / CI/CD
• Azure DevOps Repos / Git
• Azure networking: VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, DNS
• IAM / RBAC, Key Vault, Storage Accounts, Virtual Machines
• Docker / Docker Compose
• Trivy or similar security/vulnerability scanning
• Bash and/or Python
• Azure monitoring, alerting and troubleshooting
• Experience in highly regulated/secure environments, including restricted/no-internet environments
• Agile/Scrum
• Proven technical leadership of platform engineering delivery

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Azure platform engineering across Agile sprints
• Design, build, automate and support secure Azure infrastructure
• Lead Terraform and Azure DevOps CI/CD delivery
• Translate approved HLDs into LLDs and engineering tasks
• Review and approve engineering work against quality and security standards
• Manage technical risks, issues and dependencies
• Mentor engineers and provide hands-on troubleshooting/support when required
