Barnet - Senior SW - Fostering Team

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Fostering Team for Barnet Council.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Complete high-quality Viability Assessments, Special Guardianship Order (SGO) Assessments, and Connected Carer Assessments in accordance with statutory guidance and local authority procedures.
* Undertake comprehensive kinship assessments, analysing risk, capacity, and suitability of family and connected carers.
* Work directly with children, families, and prospective carers to support permanency planning and achieve positive outcomes.
* Prepare robust assessment reports for fostering panels and court proceedings where required.
* Work collaboratively with childrens social workers, legal services, fostering colleagues, and partner agencies throughout the assessment process.
* Maintain accurate case records and ensure all work is completed in accordance with fostering regulations, statutory guidance, and local authority policies.
* Promote safeguarding, stability, and positive outcomes for children through high-quality assessment and evidence-based decision-making.

Working Pattern:
* Hybrid working.

Pay Rate:
* Up to £38.50 p/h Umbrella.

Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent.
* Social Work England Registration.
* Minimum 3 years permanent post-qualified Social Work experience.
* Proven experience completing Viability Assessments, Special Guardianship Order (SGO) Assessments, and Connected Carer Assessments is essential.
* Experience working with children and families within Childrens Social Care.
* Strong assessment, analytical, and report writing skills.
* Excellent knowledge of fostering legislation, permanency planning, and safeguarding procedures.
