Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Level 3 Early Years Qualified Before & After School Club Supervisor to join a friendly and supportive school team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate childcare professional who enjoys working with children in a fun, engaging and nurturing environment. You will play a key role in providing high-quality wraparound care, ensuring children feel safe, happy and supported at the end of their school day.

As part of the before and after-school club team, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere where children can relax, socialise and participate in a variety of stimulating activities. Whether it's arts and crafts, outdoor play, sports, games or creative learning opportunities, you will help ensure every child has an enjoyable and enriching experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a range of fun, creative and age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play.
  • Supervise children throughout the session, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and happiness at all times.
  • Support children's social, emotional and physical development through positive interactions and engaging activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour using praise and encouragement, helping children develop confidence and independence.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues, maintaining effective communication.
  • Prepare and serve healthy snacks in line with food hygiene and allergy procedures.
  • Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety, and club policies are followed at all times.
  • Maintain accurate registers and report any concerns in accordance with safeguarding procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider school and childcare team to provide a high-quality wraparound care service.

Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare or a relevant childcare qualification (essential).
  • Previous experience working with children in an early years, school, nursery or wraparound care setting.
  • A sound understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the importance of promoting children's welfare.
  • A positive, enthusiastic and caring approach with the ability to build strong relationships with children.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
