Reeson Education is looking for a Behaviour Mentor to support pupils in primary schools across the borough of Waltham Forest, East London, including Walthamstow, Leyton, Leytonstone and Chingford. Opportunities are available for an ASAP start.

Your Role as a Behaviour Mentor

Your work as a Behaviour Mentor will centre on supporting pupils' social and emotional needs alongside the school's teaching and pastoral teams.

• Offer structured check-ins and help pupils recognise emotions and identify useful coping strategies.
• Support transitions, unstructured times and classroom participation using agreed approaches.
• Reinforce individual behaviour plans and respond calmly when pupils become dysregulated.
• Share accurate observations so school staff can review what is helping each pupil.

What We Are Looking For in a Behaviour Mentor

• Relevant experience in behaviour support, schools, youth mentoring, care or pastoral work.
• A patient Behaviour Mentor who combines warmth with clear professional boundaries.
• Confidence working as part of a team and following safeguarding and reporting procedures.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one, alongside satisfactory safeguarding checks.
