Simply Education is recruiting Behaviour Mentors and SEMH Teaching Assistants to support specialist provisions and mainstream schools across Cambridge this September.



This could be the perfect role if you've worked as a

  • Behaviour Mentor

  • SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Residential Care Worker

  • Sports Coach

  • Youth Worker

  • Support Worker

  • Mental Health Support Worker

  • Teaching Assistant supporting pupils with additional needs



What you'll be doing

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD and other additional needs

  • Building positive relationships based on consistency and trust

  • Helping pupils regulate emotions and engage with learning

  • Working one-to-one and in small groups

  • Supporting teachers to create safe and positive learning environments

  • Encouraging independence, confidence and resilience



What we're looking for

  • Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural or additional needs

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills

  • Resilience, patience and confidence working in challenging situations

  • A proactive and positive attitude

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

  • A full UK driving licence is advantageous
