Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential?
We are seeking dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentors to work within schools local to you supporting students with SEMH, ASD or moderate learning challenges mental health. We have opportunities available for both daily supply staff and long-term cover positions, offering flexibility and career development within a rewarding educational environment.
The Role - Behaviour Mentor
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Support students with social, emotional and behavioural needs both in and outside the classroom.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced challenges in their education.
- Encourage engagement, confidence and emotional regulation.
- Work alongside teachers, therapists and pastoral teams to implement behaviour support strategies.
- Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Act as a positive role model, helping students achieve both academically and personally.
We Are Looking For - Behaviour Mentors who have
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEND, behavioural needs, youth work, mentoring, coaching, care, support work or similar backgrounds.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Resilience, patience and a calm approach to managing challenging behaviour.
- A proactive attitude and genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
- Graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, sports coaches, support workers and experienced Behaviour Mentors are all encouraged to apply.
