APT Education, a trusted, local Primary specialist, is recruiting a full‑time Behaviour Support Assistant for a supportive primary school in MK6 (Neath Hill area). This long‑term role begins October Half Term and offers a genuine temp‑to‑perm opportunity for the right person.

We are looking for someone with proven experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour, SEMH needs, or adults with additional behavioural or emotional needs. If you’re calm, resilient and confident de‑escalating behaviour, this is an excellent opportunity to join a welcoming school with strong leadership and consistent weekly pay.

⭐ The Role

You will support pupils with:

• SEMH needs

• Behaviour regulation difficulties

• Emotional and social challenges

• ADHD / ASC

• Trauma‑informed needs

Daily responsibilities include:

• 1:1 behaviour support

• De‑escalation and positive behaviour strategies

• Small‑group interventions

• Following behaviour plans and EHCPs

• Working closely with the SENCO and class teacher

⭐ What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience supporting challenging behaviour or SEMH

• Confident using calm, consistent behaviour strategies

• Available full time, Monday–Friday, 8:30–3:30

• DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one

• Reliable, committed and ready to start October Half Term
