Location: Sheffield
Pay: £95-£120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Term Time Only

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school that is part of a well-established Multi Academy Trust. We are looking for a resilient and committed Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with social, emotional and behavioural needs.

This is a full-time role where you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to engage with learning, manage their emotions and develop positive behaviours. The school is looking for someone who can build strong relationships, remain calm under pressure and provide consistent support throughout the school day.



The Role

  • Support pupils with SEMH needs both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Help pupils develop positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation skills.
  • Build trusting relationships to encourage engagement with learning.
  • Work alongside teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored support.
  • Promote a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs or additional needs.
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people.
  • Full-time availability.


Pay Information

The daily rate for this role ranges from £95-£120 per day.

To be considered for the higher end of the pay scale:

  • Previous relevant SEND, SEMH or behaviour support experience is essential.
  • Full-time availability is required.
  • Final pay rate will also be dependent on the school's allocated budget and your level of experience.
