A specialist education setting in Devizes is looking for a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Worker to join their team. You'll be supporting students who may experience social, emotional and mental health needs, behavioural challenges and barriers to learning.

The Role - Behaviour Support Worker

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will:

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students and act as a consistent source of support
  • Support young people with SEMH, behavioural and additional learning needs
  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement with learning
  • Help students develop confidence, independence and positive coping strategies
  • Support students who may struggle within a mainstream classroom environment
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and other professionals to provide consistent support
  • Help create a calm, safe and positive learning environment

Who We're Looking For

  • A Psychology graduate or studying towards a related degree
  • Experienced in youth work, support work, education or mentoring
  • Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs
  • Confident, patient and resilient
  • Able to build positive relationships with challenging or vulnerable young people
  • Interested in gaining experience within SEMH and specialist education

Previous experience working with SEMH or challenging behaviour is beneficial, but not essential. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is committed, approachable and genuinely wants to make a difference.

Location: Devizes
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Pay: £90 - £105 per day
Start: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, long-term
