Behaviour Support Worker - Sports Coaches Desired

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will:

  • Support students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
  • Support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behavioural challenges.
  • Help manage and de-escalate difficult situations using positive behaviour strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support student development.
  • Promote confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.


The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Sports coaching
  • Youth work
  • Behaviour mentoring
  • Learning support
  • Residential childcare
  • Teaching assistance
  • Alternative Provision or PRU settings
  • SEMH or SEND environments


Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people.
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Two professional references covering the last two years.
