We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Worker to join our supply bank for work in the Huddersfield area.
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will work closely with students, staff, and families to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning. A key part of being a Behaviour Support Worker is helping students overcome barriers, develop social and emotional skills, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with behavioural needs
- Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff to create tailored support plans
- Monitor and record progress, ensuring interventions are effective and timely
- Act as a positive role model, building strong relationships with students and families
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to complete one
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in challenging situations
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
