Hours: Monday – Friday, Rotating shifts 6am-2pm and 2pm-6am
Pay: £15.00
Job Summary
Frontline Recruitment are seeking reliable, motivated and experienced Bendi driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, equipment handling, and mechanical knowledge to support smooth logistics processes. The driver will play a vital part in maintaining the flow of materials within our organisation, contributing to overall operational success.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying delivery documentation and inspecting items for damage or discrepancies.
- Manage warehouse inventory using the warehouse management system (WMS), updating records accurately after each transaction.
- Perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Handle materials with care, employing mechanical knowledge to secure loads properly for transit.
- Support warehouse management in organising stock movements and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Utilise basic maths skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations related to load capacities.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating commercial vehicles such as lorries or vans.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving procedures.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and equipment repair techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
- Experience with forklift operation is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading tasks.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in inventory management.
- Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and record keeping.
