Benefits Operations Specialist

Location: Chester (Hybrid Working)
Rate: £22.00 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday (flexible start and finish times)

We are currently recruiting for a Benefits Operations Specialist to join a global organisation's People Services team. This role is responsible for the administration and delivery of employee benefits and retirement programmes, ensuring an excellent employee experience whilst maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end administration of benefits programmes across assigned markets.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex benefits-related queries.
  • Support benefit enrolments, changes, claims, terminations and eligibility processes.
  • Liaise with providers, brokers and third-party vendors.
  • Reconcile reports, data feeds and system integrations.
  • Manage vendor invoicing, purchase orders and payment tracking.
  • Support annual enrolment activities and benefits communications.
  • Maintain and update process documentation, work instructions and knowledge articles.
  • Assist with compliance, governance, audits and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support system testing, enhancements and benefits administration projects.
  • Provide training and guidance on benefits processes and programmes.


About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Previous, in-depth experience within Benefits Administration.
  • A degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of HR policies, employment legislation and benefits regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities.


Desirable Experience

  • Experience in other HR disciplines such as payroll, talent acquisition or performance management.
  • Experience working within an HR Shared Services environment.
  • Knowledge of systems including Workday, ServiceNow, Darwin or Morneau Shepell's Ariel.
  • Additional language skills in Italian or Spanish.
