The Opportunity:
Due to a strong pipeline of work they are now looking for a dynamic Bid Manager to join their Midlands region. Reporting to the Preconstruction Manager, the successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and be responsible for managing both internal and external resources to deliver successful bids, on time, within budget and to the highest possible standard. This is a key role within the preconstruction function, essentially project managing the entire preconstruction bid process from inception through to handover.
With a proven track record of delivering successful projects and bids, you will lead two-stage and negotiated tenders for projects ranging from £10m to £100m, across a diverse range of sectors including Education, Leisure, Healthcare and Commercial.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and motivate multidisciplinary bid teams across two-stage and negotiated tenders.

Develop commercial strategies and manage bids from inception through to handover.

Manage client relationships, expectations, risks and opportunities.

Coordinate internal teams, consultants and supply chain partners.

Ensure high-quality, commercially focused bids are delivered on time.

Drive collaboration, continuous improvement and sustainability throughout preconstruction.
Key Requirements
-
Proven experience in a Preconstruction Manager, Bid Manager, Estimating or similar role.

Experience delivering two-stage/negotiated tenders on projects valued between £10m–£100m.

Strong commercial, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.

Excellent understanding of construction, design and the preconstruction process.

Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
