We are recruiting an experienced Bid Manager to join an established Work Winning and Proposals team supporting major construction and infrastructure opportunities across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-focused professional who enjoys managing complex bids, coordinating stakeholders and producing high-quality tender submissions that stand out.
Working on a hybrid basis from anywhere in the UK, you will be central to the successful delivery of bids, frameworks, tenders and client submissions.
The Role
As a Bid Manager, you will lead and coordinate the end-to-end bid process, ensuring submissions are compelling, compliant, well structured and delivered on time.
You will work closely with internal teams including commercial, operational, technical and business development specialists to create winning proposals.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage and coordinate bid submissions including Expressions of Interest (EOIs), Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs), frameworks and presentations
Lead bid planning activities, including kick-off meetings, bid programmes and submission timelines
Coordinate contributions from multiple stakeholders to ensure accurate and high-quality responses
Develop clear, persuasive and client-focused written proposals
Review and improve bid content to ensure consistency, quality and compliance
Produce and format professional tender documents and presentation materials
Create engaging graphics and visual content to support proposals
Ensure all client requirements, evaluation criteria and submission instructions are addressed
Manage online client portals, including document downloads, uploads and correspondence
Maintain and improve bid libraries, knowledge management systems and reusable content
Capture lessons learned and feedback to continuously improve future bids
Support governance processes and maintain accurate opportunity information
About You
You will be an experienced Bid Manager, Bid Coordinator or Proposals Specialist with a proven track record of delivering successful tenders within a construction, infrastructure, engineering or similar environment.
You will bring:
Previous experience managing or coordinating complex bids and tender submissions
Strong understanding of the construction bid process and work winning environment
Excellent written communication and proofreading skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong stakeholder management and organisational skills
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Essential Skills & Experience:
Experience working within construction, infrastructure, engineering or built environment sectors
Experience with tender submissions, PQQs, ITTs and proposal writing
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience using bid management, CRM or knowledge management systems
Familiarity with proposal tools such as Adobe, InDesign, Visio or similar
Desirable:
Formal bid/proposals training (such as Shipley or equivalent)
Experience working with framework bids
Knowledge of client portals and digital submission platforms
Experience using CRM systems such as Dynamics 365 or Salesforce
