Salary: Up to £90,000 + package

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join a leading contractor, supporting the delivery of high-quality tender submissions and helping secure new opportunities across a range of sectors.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Bid Manager with strong 2nd stage bid experience, particularly someone who has experience managing the transition between Stage 1 and Stage 2 bids and understands the requirements needed to successfully convert opportunities into secured projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex bids, working closely with pre-construction, design, commercial, planning and operational teams to develop compelling submissions that align with client requirements and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end bid process, with a particular focus on 2nd stage tender submissions
- Lead the transition and conversion process between Stage 1 and Stage 2 bids
- Coordinate input from internal teams including design, technical, commercial, planning and operations
- Develop clear bid strategies and ensure submissions are aligned with client objectives
- Manage bid programmes, deadlines and submission requirements
- Produce high-quality written responses, including methodologies, technical submissions and project approaches
- Facilitate bid meetings, workshops and reviews with key stakeholders
- Ensure all tender documentation is accurate, compliant and submitted on time
- Support continuous improvement of bid processes and best practice across the business
Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Bid Manager within the construction industry
- Strong experience managing 2nd stage bids and PCSA/conversion processes
- Experience working through the journey from initial opportunity to successful tender submission
- Excellent understanding of construction procurement and tender processes
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail
Desirable Experience
- Experience of winning work and developing successful bid strategies
- Background working on education, science, research or public sector projects
- Experience with public sector frameworks would be advantageous
The Package
- Salary up to £90,000 for an exceptional candidate with significant bid-winning experience
- Hybrid working available, with the expectation that the successful candidate will spend regular time in the office collaborating with teams
- Based from either Oxford or Slough, with travel required across the Thames Valley region
