Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8am–5pm | Friday 8am–3.30pm
Working Arrangement: Full-time, office-based
Our client is an established Scottish construction and civil engineering contractor with an exciting portfolio across renewable energy, power and energy, infrastructure, roads, transport, industrial and commercial projects.
Due to an upcoming vacancy, they are looking for an experienced Bid Writer to join their team and take ownership of tenders from initial review through to final submission.
This is an opportunity for an experienced bid professional to play a key role in developing high-quality, compelling and commercially focused submissions that help secure major projects.
The RoleWorking within an experienced bid team, you will be responsible for your allocated tenders and manage the full end-to-end bid process, including:

Reviewing ITTs, PQQs, specifications and evaluation criteria.

Writing and developing high-quality technical and quality responses.

Coordinating with Estimating, Commercial, HSQE, Operations and Project Delivery teams to gather information.

Developing and maintaining CVs, case studies and project data sheets.

Managing formatting, document presentation and version control.

Ensuring submissions meet client requirements, word counts and deadlines.

Maintaining and updating the company's tender content library.

Supporting post-tender presentations where required.

Ensuring all submissions are accurate, consistent, professional and compliant.
We're looking for an experienced Bid Writer with a proven background in bid writing and tendering.
You should have:

Previous professional bid/tender writing experience – essential.

Experience managing complex tenders from start to finish.

Strong understanding of PQQs, ITTs and competitive tendering.

Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

The ability to turn technical information into clear and persuasive content.

Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
Construction or civil engineering experience is highly desirable, particularly within infrastructure, energy or major projects. However, candidates from other sectors will be considered where they can demonstrate strong experience managing and writing complex tenders.
