Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Billable Works Team Leader to support a government account. The role involves management of above-base works, leading a team of Coordinators, stakeholder management, the quotation process, order processing, and invoice management.

Job Description

We are seeking a candidate who can work closely with Operations, Finance teams and suppliers to manage the billable works process. The successful candidate will oversee the lifecycle of above-base works from request through to delivery, resolving issues and delays where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the billable works process in line with contractual requirements.
• Lead and support the team in obtaining supplier quotations.
• Oversee the quotation and client approval process.
• Support the raising of purchase orders and resolve invoice queries and disputes.
• Maintain accurate records and databases relating to billable works activities.
• Monitor and track order status, resolving issues and discrepancies as required.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Operations, clients and suppliers to ensure service quality and value.
• Conduct cost analysis, negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

• Previous leadership experience.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills.
• Strong numeracy skills.
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.
• Experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to analyse data to make informed decisions.
• Proficiency with procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
