We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated Teacher of Science with a specialism in Biology to join our successful and well-resourced Science Department. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious teacher who is passionate about inspiring young people and delivering outstanding teaching across Key Stages 3–5.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Teach Science across KS3 and KS4, with a specialist focus on Biology at KS5.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, challenging and inclusive lessons that inspire curiosity and academic excellence.
  • Assess, monitor and support student progress to ensure excellent outcomes.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the Science curriculum.
  • Promote high expectations of behaviour, attendance and achievement.
  • Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities, educational visits and pastoral responsibilities.
We Are Looking For Someone Who Has:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • A degree in Biology or a closely related scientific discipline.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to teach Biology confidently to A Level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and raising achievement for all learners.
  • High expectations, enthusiasm and a collaborative approach to working within a successful department.
