Are you an experienced Aerospace Inspector, Quality Inspector or Mechanical Inspector looking to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Blades Inspector Operative to join a busy quality team inspecting high-precision aerospace components. This role would suit someone with experience inspecting complex precision-engineered parts within an aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Working within a modern manufacturing facility, you'll play a key role in ensuring components meet exact customer specifications while supporting continuous improvement and maintaining the highest quality standards.

The Role

As a Blades Inspector Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out dimensional and visual inspections on aerospace components throughout the manufacturing process.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection of aerospace blades and precision components
  • Performing detailed dimensional and visual inspections to customer specifications
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T
  • Using a variety of inspection equipment including:Recording inspection results accurately and completing quality documentation
    • Micrometers
    • Verniers
    • Height Gauges
    • Shadowgraphs
    • CMM equipment (where applicable)
  • Identifying non-conforming products and raising quality concerns
  • Supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Working closely with production and engineering teams to maintain product quality
  • Following quality procedures, work instructions and health & safety requirements
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the inspection department

We're looking for someone with experience as an:

  • Aerospace Inspector
  • Quality Inspector
  • Mechanical Inspector
  • CMM Inspector
  • Precision Engineering Inspector
  • Manufacturing Inspector

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous inspection experience within aerospace or precision engineering manufacturing
  • Experience inspecting parts within a similar sector
  • Ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment
  • Knowledge of first-off, in-process and final inspection processes
  • Experience identifying and managing non-conforming products
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • A proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement
Desirable
  • FLT Licence or previous FLT experience
  • First Aid or Fire Marshal training
  • Previous aerospace quality inspection experience
