A growing North West-based electrical controls and BMS specialist is looking for a qualified electrician / electrical controls engineer to join their team.
The role would suit an experienced electrician with a strong electrical background who is looking to develop further into electrical controls and BMS. BMS experience is beneficial but not essential, with full training provided on RDM BMS systems and software.
The Role
The successful candidate will work across a range of electrical controls, HVAC and BMS projects, including installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and fault finding.
You will be required to:
- Install, commission and maintain electrical control and BMS systems.
- Fault-find and diagnose electrical, controls and HVAC issues.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and control strategies.
- Work with control panels, sensors, actuators, VSDs and HVAC equipment.
- Carry out commissioning and testing of control panels and field devices.
- Support BMS upgrades and controls projects.
- Work directly with customers and other contractors on site.
- Complete service reports, commissioning documentation and site paperwork.
- Manage your own workload and plan site visits.
- Travel nationally when required, including occasional overnight stays.
BMS & Controls
BMS experience is advantageous but not essential.
The company specialises in smaller BMS and smart control systems and will provide full training on RDM systems and software.
There is also a clear pathway to develop into larger BMS projects, controls engineering and design.
What We're Looking For
- Fully qualified electrician / strong electrical engineering background.
- Commercial or industrial electrical experience.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Able to read electrical drawings and control schematics.
- Control panel experience would be advantageous.
- HVAC or controls experience beneficial.
- Comfortable working independently on customer sites.
- Good communication and customer-facing skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel nationally.
