A leading engineering and energy solutions provider is seeking an experienced BMS Project Manager to oversee the installation and delivery of Building Management Systems on major decarbonisation and low-carbon energy projects.

The Role

Reporting to the Electrical Project Manager, you will take responsibility for managing all on-site BMS installation activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with project, commissioning, and quality teams, you will oversee the full installation lifecycle, from containment and cabling through to testing, commissioning readiness, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all BMS installation activities on site.
  • Coordinate BMS engineers, electricians, commissioning engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Review drawings, schematics, panel layouts, and I/O schedules to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Plan labour resources and manage installation programmes.
  • Monitor workmanship and installation quality through regular inspections.
  • Oversee containment, cabling, control panel installations, field devices, and network infrastructure.
  • Coordinate material, tooling, and equipment requirements.
  • Manage subcontractor performance, programme delivery, and quality standards.
  • Conduct site walkdowns and proactively resolve installation issues.
  • Lead snagging, quality inspections, and commissioning readiness reviews.
  • Support FAT, SAT, point-to-point testing, loop checks, and integrated system testing.

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Controls, Building Services, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of Building Management Systems and controls integration.
  • Experience managing electrical installation activities, including containment, cabling, and terminations.
  • Knowledge of commissioning processes including FAT, SAT, and point-to-point testing.
  • Familiarity with HSEQ requirements, RAMS, and safe systems of work.
