About the Opportunity

An established building controls and energy management specialist is seeking a BMS Service & Maintenance Engineer to join its growing engineering team. The role will focus primarily on the service, maintenance, fault-finding, and optimisation of BMS and controls systems, alongside involvement in small works projects and system upgrades across a diverse client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on BMS and control systems.
• Diagnose and rectify faults on a range of Building Management Systems.
• Attend reactive breakdown calls and provide effective technical solutions.
• Perform system health checks, optimisation, and performance improvements.
• Complete small works, minor modifications, and system improvements.
• Produce accurate service reports and documentation following site visits.
• Liaise professionally with clients, site teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Support commissioning activities and assist with project delivery where required.

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS) in a service, maintenance, commissioning, or support capacity.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of HVAC controls and associated plant.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

• Experience with systems such as Trend, Tridium, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Delta, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of networking and IP-based control systems.
• Previous experience delivering small projects or modifications.
