About the Opportunity
An established building controls and energy management specialist is seeking a BMS Service & Maintenance Engineer to join its growing engineering team. The role will focus primarily on the service, maintenance, fault-finding, and optimisation of BMS and controls systems, alongside involvement in small works projects and system upgrades across a diverse client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on BMS and control systems.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on a range of Building Management Systems.
- Attend reactive breakdown calls and provide effective technical solutions.
- Perform system health checks, optimisation, and performance improvements.
- Complete small works, minor modifications, and system improvements.
- Produce accurate service reports and documentation following site visits.
- Liaise professionally with clients, site teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Support commissioning activities and assist with project delivery where required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS) in a service, maintenance, commissioning, or support capacity.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Good understanding of HVAC controls and associated plant.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience with systems such as Trend, Tridium, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Delta, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of networking and IP-based control systems.
- Previous experience delivering small projects or modifications.
