The Opportunity
Our client, a leading UK infrastructure and highways contractor, is looking to recruit an experienced Bodyshop Technician to join its growing Mechanical Services team in Brighton.

The Role
As a Bodyshop Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring specialist fleet vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring they are returned to service safely and efficiently.
You'll carry out structural and cosmetic repairs, panel replacement, body alignment and refinishing work while maintaining excellent standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out body repairs on specialist fleet and commercial vehicles.
- Repair accident damage and restore vehicles to manufacturer standards.
- Complete panel replacement, alignment and body repairs.
- Carry out cosmetic repairs and surface preparation.
- Work safely in accordance with company health and safety procedures.
- Complete all job documentation accurately and on time.
- Report vehicle modifications or defects to management.
- Support and mentor apprentices where required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Requirements
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds qualification in Vehicle Body Repair (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Bodyshop Technician.
- Experience working on commercial or specialist fleet vehicles.
- Good understanding of vehicle body repair techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Good knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience working on emergency service vehicles.
- Knowledge of lean working practices.
- Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians.
