We are currently seeking a dedicated Bodyshop Prepper to join a busy automotive bodyshop in Chelmsford, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to a reputable team, ensuring vehicle preparation and finishing processes are completed to the highest standards. The successful individual will be instrumental in supporting the bodyshop’s operations and maintaining quality workmanship.

Duties of the Bodyshop Prepper role include:
  • Preparing vehicles for painting, including masking, sanding, and priming

  • Assisting the bodyshop team with all aspects of vehicle preparation and finishing
  • Managing time effectively to meet production deadlines
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Ensuring all work is completed to industry standards and customer satisfaction
Requirements for the Bodyshop Prepper role:
  • Previous experience in a similar bodyshop prepper or vehicle preparation role
  • Strong attention to detail and colour matching skills
  • Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable and punctual attitude
  • Good understanding of vehicle preparation, masking, sanding, and polishing techniques
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
