BODYSHOP FITTER / MET TECHNICIAN

Location: Croydon 
Salary: £45000 - £52000
 

Kestrel Talent is recruiting an experienced Bodyshop Fitter/MET Technician for an accident repair centre in Croydon 

Collision Care completes accident repairs, bodywork, structural repairs and refinishing for private customers, insurers and commercial fleets. The business operates modern repair centres across Erith, Croydon and Gatwick.

You will complete the safe removal, inspection and refitting of mechanical, electrical and trim components during the accident repair process.

THE ROLE

• Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components

• Complete strip-and-fit work as part of accident repairs

• Inspect components and identify previously unseen damage

• Report additional parts or repair requirements promptly

• Reassemble vehicles accurately following repair work

• Work from repair methods and relevant technical information

• Liaise with estimators, panel technicians and painters

• Carry out appropriate checks before vehicles are released

• Maintain high standards of workmanship and vehicle care

• Keep your working area safe, clean and organised

ABOUT YOU

• Previous MET Technician, strip-and-fit or bodyshop fitting experience

• Good understanding of modern vehicle components and systems

• Able to dismantle and rebuild vehicles methodically

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe repairs

• Comfortable working to agreed repair times

• Able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary bodyshop team

• IMI, NVQ or ATA accreditation would be advantageous, although equivalent experience will be considered
