Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a role where you can make a real impact?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well established and supportive business in Malvern that is seeking a hands on Bookkeeper to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the day-to-day management of accounts but is also looking for the chance to develop their responsibilities over time.
Initially, you'll focus on the smooth running of transactional finance activities, gaining a thorough understanding of the business and its processes. As you become established, you'll have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility, with a clear pathway towards owning the bookkeeping and wider finance function.

The Role
As Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of the finance function, ensuring financial processes run smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger
- Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare supplier payment runs.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, responding to queries promptly.
- Manage customer accounts and proactively chase outstanding payments.
- Monitor aged debt and maintain accurate debtor records.
- Resolve customer payment queries professionally and efficiently.
- Support cash collection activities and help minimise overdue balances.
- Assist with daily cashflow monitoring and reporting.
- Support the preparation of financial information and management reports.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Utilise Sage accounting software for daily financial processing.
- Ensure transactions are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency.
- Take on additional bookkeeping and finance responsibilities as the role evolves.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working as a Bookkeeper or within a similar finance position.
- Enjoys being hands-on and involved in the day-to-day detail of the accounts function.
- Has excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Can build effective relationships with both suppliers and customers.
- Is confident using accounting software, ideally Sage.
- Is eager to become an integral part of the business and grow into a broader finance role over time.
