Looking for a bookkeeping role that works around your life?
We're recruiting for a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join a friendly, supportive and well-established team based in Dorking. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for flexibility, whether that's around childcare, family commitments or other interests outside of work.
The Role
- 20-25 hours per week (depending on the individual)
- Hours can be split to suit you
- Ideally 2 days per week in the office
- Flexible working hours, open to discussion
- Salary equivalent to £36,000-£38,000 FTE (pro rata depending on hours)
Responsibilities
- Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of small to medium-sized businesses and sole traders
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Preparing end-of-month and year-end accounts
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting clients with day-to-day finance queries
- Liaising with accountants and clients where required
Requirements
- Previous bookkeeping experience
- Experience preparing end-of-month and year-end accounts
- Confident preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
