Boomi Integration Architect

Role Overview

The Boomi Integration Architect will design, govern, and optimize our enterprise integration landscape using the Boomi AtomSphere platform. In this role, you will enforce Salesforce as our primary Single Source of Truth (SSOT). You will manage complex, multi-directional object mappings across a modern SaaS ecosystem including NetSuite, ServiceNow, and OpenAir. A critical part of your job will be performing upstream/downstream impact assessments. You must ensure that changes to Salesforce core data objects flow seamlessly without disrupting downstream operational workflows.

Technical Ecosystem & Mapping Scope

Our architecture relies on precise data synchronization managed via Boomi. You will own the strategy for the following cross-system mappings:

• Salesforce NetSuite: Synchronizing core commercial entities including Products, Accounts/Customers, Contacts, Orders, and custom objects like Multi-Year Agreements (MYA) to ZAB (Zone Advanced Billing) Master Contracts and Subscriptions.
• Salesforce ServiceNow: Mapping Products to Service Models, Accounts to Account Team Members, Addresses to Locations, and Contracts to Service Contracts.
• Salesforce OpenAir: Driving professional services delivery by mapping Accounts to Customers, Contracts to Projects, and Opportunities/Quotes/Quote Items directly to Projects and Project Budgets.
• Downstream Cross-Pollination: Overseeing critical auxiliary paths such as ServiceNow to NetSuite (Sold Products to ZAB Subscription Items) and ServiceNow to OpenAir (Service Contracts to Projects).

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Mapping Governance

• Design and maintain complex data maps and transformation logic in Boomi to handle 1:N and N:1 object relationships across systems.
• Enforce bi-directional data flow integrity, specifically managing scenarios where downstream updates (e.g., NetSuite Customer updates) write back to the Salesforce Account master.
• Govern data schemas across Salesforce, NetSuite, ServiceNow, and OpenAir to prevent configuration drift and data corruption.
• Optimize data caching and session handling within Boomi to handle bulky Quote Items, Order Items, and Project Budget payloads efficiently.

Impact Assessment & Change Management

• Evaluate the systemic impact of any proposed changes to Salesforce standard or custom objects (e.g., modifying fields within Account, Order, or Contract objects).
• Provide concrete engineering recommendations to downstream NetSuite, ServiceNow, and OpenAir administrators regarding necessary schema or workflow modifications.
• Build regression testing frameworks within Boomi to validate end-to-end transaction logic before Salesforce updates go live in production.
• Map and document multi-hop data lineages (e.g., Salesforce ServiceNow NetSuite) to instantly trace the root cause of any pipeline failures.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), with at least 4+ years acting as a Lead or Principal Architect on Boomi.
• Boomi Mastery: Active certification as a Boomi Integration Architect or Master Solution Architect.
• Ecosystem Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience integrating the specific platforms in our stack:

• • Salesforce: Advanced knowledge of Sales/Service Cloud objects, SOAP/REST APIs, Bulk API, and Outbound Messaging.
  • NetSuite: Understanding of NetSuite ERP, SuiteTalk REST/SOAP web services, and Zone Advanced Billing (ZAB) structures.
  • ServiceNow: Experience with Customer Service Management (CSM) or ITOM data structures, CSDM frameworks, and ServiceNow APIs.
  • OpenAir: Knowledge of OpenAir PSA database schema, custom fields, and API integration endpoints.

• Advanced Data Skills: Mastery of complex JSON/XML profiles, data splitting, SQL queries, and handling nested transactional arrays (such as Quote and Order line items).

Preferred Competencies

• Excellent leadership and cross-functional communication skills to coordinate between Salesforce developers, ERP specialists, and business analysts.
• Proactive mindset focused on system uptime, idempotent interface design, and robust automated exception handling.
