Booster Pump Service Technician (Water Hygiene) at Complii, Southampton

We’re seeking an experienced Booster Pump Service Technician to join Sweetbriar. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in pumps, plumbing or mechanical/electrical servicing who is looking to broaden their skills within water hygiene and compliance. 

You’ll combine the servicing, maintenance and fault-finding of booster pump sets, pressure vessels and associated control panels with day-to-day water hygiene activities carried out during site visits. You’ll play an important role in keeping clients’ water systems operating safely, reliably and efficiently, while supporting compliance with HSG274, ACOP L8 and current industry best practice.

Here's a look at some of the things you'll be doing:

· Service, maintain and carry out minor repairs to booster pump sets, pressure vessels and associated control panels, diagnosing and resolving common mechanical and electrical faults including failure to start, overheating, loss of pressure and other operational issues

· Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits to schedule, checking pump operation, pressure vessel charge and general system condition, while responding to reactive callouts for pump failures in a timely and professional manner

· Support water hygiene activities alongside pump servicing, including basic tank and system inspections and water sampling, identifying and reporting potential water quality or system deficiencies such as sediment build-up, scale, missing filters or signs of stagnation

· Complete clear and accurate service reports and documentation for each visit, manage your workload effectively across multiple sites and liaise directly and professionally with clients while ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standards

Can you show experience in some of these areas:

· Previous experience servicing, maintaining or repairing booster pumps, pressure sets or related mechanical/electrical plant, with confident fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical and basic electrical systems

· An interest in, or working knowledge of, water hygiene and Legionella control principles, including HSG274 and ACOP L8, with a willingness to develop your knowledge and work towards relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds Legionella Control where required

· Well organised and methodical, with the ability to manage your own schedule and workload across multiple client sites, complete accurate documentation and maintain high standards of service and attention to detail

· Good communication and customer service skills, with the confidence to deal professionally with clients face-to-face, together with a flexible approach to nationwide travel and a full valid UK driving licence
